Yup because I'm not the one crying I can't get into a group. It's always the mesmers, rangers and assassins so I don't need your silly useless links I already know what is popular and what is not P.A.L.

Also look how OLD those polls are lol hardly accurate by TODAYS standards. Also that's hardly a worldwide poll of choices therefore invalid. The proof is in the grouping, who will you group with. I never take a mesmer, ranger or assassin and we do just fine and slaughter everything without them easily.

The last time i took a human mesmer in a H/H group (Since he had no heroes lool), he missed with every interupt. Not very usefull since I needed him to powerblock a 1s cast spell on a elly boss in NM. I advised him to take Frustration or arcane conundrum, but he didnt want to cause he told me he could interupt fine.

Like I say thats the last time I took a human mesmer. If I really need an interupter, I use AI ftw.

Yeah AI mesmer now isn't bad. I take Gwen out occassionally because she is good at interupting when I need it. But, human mesmers, rangers and sins mostly a wasted and lust a leeching space. I'd rather have another Ele than a mesmer ranger or sin. I play a curses necro with hero minon master with Discord and together we just stomp everything with ele fire starter and of course WoH monk. Thas all I ever use and I play hard mode with this group, occassionally I'll take another henchie monk in the real tough areas, but, for the most part this setup I have is just marvelous so don't need any mesmers or rangers or sins or even warriors for that matter or dervishers or paragons. Best classes necros elementalists and monks

I can see what you're saying but I don't believe thats the problem with the Mesmer class. From my experience the problem with them is that they are over all a reactionary class. Meaning they need a action to react to in order to become useful. And on top of this the class can become very very one dimensional. If you have a build thats anti melee then it will be just that and useless against casters. Were as a Necro or any other class can be geared towards anti melee or caster and still be effective for either or.

Its sort of the same reason why MM Necros aren't good in RA and TA, since you need something to react to. If there are no corpses then the build is near useless.

I think sins need better elite dagger mastery skills to compensate, theres a reason no one ever uses 'em. They suck.

{Elite}Burning Daggers 15 - Energy, 10 - Second Recharge
Dual Attack. Must follow an offhand attack, you strike target foe for 12...43{50} fire damage, if target foe is hexed target foe begins burning for 2...5{7} seconds.

Why didn't we ever get something like that? Instead we have... Flashing Blades.

{Elite}Disarming Strike 5 - Energy, 8 - recharge
Off Hand Attack. Interrupt target foe's action, if target foe was using a skill that skill is disabled for 5...10{13} seconds. Target foe's attack skills are all disabled for 3..8{10} seconds.

Face it, people! Whiners won't stop until assassin's daggers do 1-2 dmg, dagger skill dmg is -50 and all their hex spells cause exhaustion and disable their entire bars. =P

Anti-Sin Whiners (that get their way always... GG Anet) FTL/FAILURE

Congratulations on being ignorant, want a thread cookie?

So what if twisted fang would deal likewise damage? Is it a bad thing to have two powerful dual attacks? Oh and I wasn't aware Exhausting Assault was an off hand, or could disable attack skills! Boy you really educated me.

ok wow this is just a flame war
but the reason that mesmers and assassins are such hard classes to try and balance is they take the control out of the player and that is very percise because too much power and they own the game too little and they are hard to use and clunky so it is not easy finding a good place for professions like this
look at the hammer warrior really when was the last time there was a hammer buff it is because it is at a good place

You take an assassin or Mesmer in PVE, you have to be playing smart.
Only ease for an assassin is the Moebius combo's otherwise playing stupid has you dead.
Same with the mesmer, playing stupid makes you useless.

Also to the guy who said
Twisting fangs and
Exhausting Assault

...no, what that guy was requesting and what you think hes saying are different.

We're done here. Profession discussion goes in the respective areas of the campfire.
